Lexi’s Summer Internship Recap

Last summer at Ripe Creative, I had the chance to dive into the day-to-day world of digital marketing—hands-on, fast-paced, and full of variety. From content creation to on-site shoots and brand events, the experience helped me build real skills, confidence, and clarity around my future in marketing.

What I Worked On at Ripe

During my internship, I took on a wide range of responsibilities that allowed me to gain practical experience across multiple areas of digital marketing. Throughout the summer, I:

 

  • Created engaging digital content for Ripe’s brand partners

  • Attended and participated in brand events

  • Captured and edited photo and video content for social media platforms

  • Contributed creative marketing ideas—and helped bring them to life

  • Supported the execution of brand events and content days

  • Assisted with project coordination, including the Ripe team photoshoot and partner content shoots

 

This gave me a behind-the-scenes look at the planning, creativity, and organization that goes into successful marketing campaigns.

The Brands I Got to Create With

Over the summer, I created content for a variety of brands, attended events, and visited locations for on-site filming and content capture. One of the most rewarding parts of the internship was meeting and interacting with the people behind each brand.

What the Marketing World Taught Me

Coming into the internship with no prior hands-on experience in digital marketing, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. I quickly learned how fast-paced and constantly evolving the industry is—what’s trending one week can be irrelevant the next.

 

A few key lessons stood out most:

 

  • Marketing moves quickly. Staying current matters, but so does maintaining brand consistency.

 

  • The strongest content is both strategic and personal. Results come from blending brand identity with intentional planning.

 

  • Client relationships are everything. Trust, transparency, and clear communication are the foundation for both measurable results and long-term partnerships.

What Ripe Creative Taught Me

My time at Ripe was enriching, exciting, and genuinely rewarding. I especially want to highlight my experience working with Liz, who mentored me throughout the summer. I admire her meticulous attention to detail, her trust in new ideas (even from an intern), and the depth of industry knowledge she shared with me.

 

Ripe stands out for its:
